Savaterre 2016 Pinot Noir
"…this release from Savaterre has something going on… It’s a fragrant, lighter, fresher rendition than we’ve seen. Plummy fruit with rose hip tea, sniffs of cranberry and a touch of smoky bergamot-like character in the bouquet. The palate has juiciness but there’s tightness too, tannins weave through the sluice of cherry-pomegranate flavours, there’s a light earthy savouriness and the fine finishes fresh and cool. It’s lovely drinking, all up. Such easy, satiny pleasure.

This is a delicious, juicy, fragrant wine.
Lifted aroma of dewy rose petal, sour cherry, pomegranate, raspberry and ripe red berry fruits, exotic spices with a subtle gamey truffle finish. Pure, focused and precise with great length, texture and persistence.
An elegant wine of depth, complexity and finesse.
